ACG sits down with Managing Director Carl Smith from Repair & Restore to talk about their working relationship and how it’s impacted their cash flow and bodyshop operations.
Tell us about Repair & Restore?
Repair & Restore Ltd is an award-winning bodyshop based in Goole, the East Riding of Yorkshire. Between us we have over 50 years’ worth of experience in delivering high-quality vehicle repair work. In 2024, the company is set to celebrate its 10th year in business. Today, we offer a wide range of repair services and work for all major UK insurance companies, conducting their repair work.
How long have you worked with ACG?
We’ve worked together for nearly four years now. In the past, we’ve used other factoring companies, but we were introduced to ACG through one of our work providers and from there, we’ve built a fantastic working partnership. Communication is essential to any working relationship, and the account management team at ACG is fantastic; they’re always on hand to support us with payment updates and queries.
Which ACG product(s) do you use?
We’ve found ACG’s Advanced Funding product to be a game changer for our business in terms of freeing up cash for high-value repairs before we even start the job. By releasing 40% of the agreed estimate value, we can get supplies into the bodyshop fast and process the repair quicker for our customers – getting their cars back to them ASAP and their lives back to normal.
How does ACG impact your day-to-day running of your bodyshop?
Working with ACG means, I’m not wasting my time and resources worrying and chasing payment for approved repair work. I’m no longer dependent or constricted by contracted payment term periods and waiting on hold for hours on end being passed from department to department. Knowing that I can trust ACG to make the payment quickly (always within 24 hours), I can focus my attention on developing a strategy to expand Repair & Restore for the next ten years.
